PALACE - 2013

Assembled from stories of people affected by homelessness, PALACE exposes lives without homes, without a safe place to sleep, set against the imposing backdrop of the Bethesda Chapel, a 200 year old partially restored methodist chapel. Performed by a cast of 34 people aged 5-60.

“I think it is of great importance that homelessness is brought to the forefront of people's minds and talked about as one of the most terrible realities in our society regularly; but this piece did more than just this - it reminded us of the humanness of the problem, of the stories and individuals that create the terrible statistics, and of the felt moments that are the actual cost of social injustice.”

Audience Feedback

“My sense of connectedness to the community. The warmth I’ve got from the experiences was truly special and unlike anything I have experienced”
