You’ve heard of a Book Club? Well, this is a Music Club!
SONG CHAT is a weekly meetup where we listen to and talk about some pre-selected songs. It’s the perfect opportunity for music lovers to come together, chat about music and connect with fellow enthusiasts.
Each week we choose 3 songs to listen to, all suggested by our members. Please spend some time listening to each in detail; delve into their lyrics, think about the context of the time they were made, the emotions they instil in you, and everything in-between. Feel free to bring some notes :)
You can find out which songs you need to listen to on THIS LINK. This also includes a link to the Song Suggestion Form, where you can submit your own choices for future weeks.
No need to book, just turn up!
When: Wednesdays, 6-7pm (please arrive from 5:45pm to settle in)
Price: Free
Location: Fenton Town Hall, Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 3AF
What to bring: Nothing! Just listen to the songs beforehand

Join Paul and the Town Hall Choir on this half-day workshop where we'll learn, in full, a polyphonic (multi-harmony) song hailing from Eastern European folk tradition.
Town Hall Choir loves to work with challenging material & harmonies so being able to sing in key is a must, but being able to read musical scores is not necessary. We use a simplified method of notation with transcribed phonetic lyrics.

Under the guidance of theatre director James Blakey, you will explore creating characters, delivering speeches, playing scenes, and collaborating as a team to share ideas and create your own work. Together we will explore how, with a few simple tools, we can take ownership of some of theatre’s most famous stories, play characters who may seem very different from us, and unearth the stories that we want to tell too.
